Pilates mat & props

The system (or otherwise) the PILATES method, is one of the most popular exercise methods in the Western world. It was developed at the beginning of the 20th century in America, by Joseph Pilates. Originally, it was named "Contrology" because of the style of exercises based on precise movement control.

The principles on which the system is based are concentration, control, breathing, the search for the center - core -, precision and flow in movement.

The method is suitable for all ages and levels of exercisers, as the exercises are divided into levels, depending on the physical condition of the person exercising.

The benefits that one will get from the Pilates method are relief from pain, correct body posture, uniform strengthening of the muscles of the trunk and especially the core, increase in flexibility, improvement of balance, strength and muscle endurance, as well as decompression of the spine.
